AIDS WALK Charlotte 2010 | Saturday, May 1, 2010

AIDS WALK Charlotte is the largest HIV/AIDS awareness and fundraising event in the Carolinas. This two mile walk through Charlotte's Historic Fourth Ward is a visual representation of our communities' commitment to and compassion for those impacted by HIV and AIDS.

Caring individuals will walk in memory of those who have finished their journey, as advocates for those infected, and as a beacon of light for the future when our steps will have helped stop its spread.

To register, walk and raise money please visit www.aidswalkcharlotte.org.

Back by "Popular" demand. Entertainment Weekly calls WICKED "the best musical of the decade," and when it first played in Charlotte in 2008, it broke box office records and sold out in record time.

How these two grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good makes for "the most complete and completely satisfying new musical in a long time" (USA Today).

Advocacy Alert

Release Federal Funds for ADAP

On January 22, the state cut off new enrollment in the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), which provides life-saving medication to people living with HIV. Take action to call your US senators and representative to release emergency funds to re-open the program to ensure that people who need these medications can stay healthy and reduce the risk of transmission.
