Tickets are $30 per person and include complimentary beer, wine and light hors d'oeuvres (there will be non-alcoholic beverages as well). 100% of the ticket cost goes to support RAIN's programs and services. We will only sell 150 tickets - this is truly an intimate evening.

The Right Reverend V. Gene Robinson is the first openly gay elected bishop in the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion. Since his consecration in 2003, he has become one of the most visible, eloquent and respected advocates for LGBT equality nationally and internationally. Bishop Robinson’s story is featured in the 2007 feature-length documentary, “For the Bible Tells Me So” and is the subject of a new documentary film “The Truth Will Set You Free” due for a 2011 release. In 2009, Bishop Robinson gave the invocation at the opening inaugural ceremonies for President Barack Obama at the Lincoln Memorial. He is co-author of three AIDS education curricula for youth and adults, and has done AIDS work in the United States and in Africa. Bishop Robinson has been active particularly in the area of full civil rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people. He is vocal about the need for full acceptance of LGBT people in faith communities. He has been honored by many LGBT organizations for his work, including the Human Rights Campaign, the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force and the Equality Forum.
